 François Lurton, a pioneer of the Uco Valley, built his winery, Bodega Piedra Negra, in the heart of 200 hectares of virgin land acquired in the middle of what, a few years later, would become the Geographical Indication of Los Chacayes.

Located in Maipu, Mendoza, this winery has been built where it formerly was a glass factory. Remnants of that glass glory is the glasiris mosaic imagery on the walls of the old building. The Baigorria family has been involved in vine growing and winemaking  since 1960. Today, the three Baigorria siblings manage Mi Terruño (aka terroir), one of them being Maria Eugenia, the winemaker. 

A fourth generation winery, initiated by Pietro, an Italian immigrant to the extreme altitude, arid and sunny area called Cafayate, Salta where he planted vineyards. Today his descendent Andres Nanni heads the winery. A terroir marked by extreme altitude, over 5700 ft above the sea level, and 300 days of sun a year, producing pest-free grapes and remarkably fragrant and structured wines. 

 Located in the Gascony, owing its name to the morning fog covering the vineyards. 

In 1997 François Lurton' and his brother Jaques discovered this terroir and realized it was optimum for growing a distinctive sauvignon blanc. 

In 1996, the Lurton brothers leased the Mas Janeil vineyard in the Agly Valley, where diverse soils, due to a geological fault, enhanced the potential of old Grenache vines. After 10 years, François Lurton bought the vineyard in 2008 and built a new winery, restoring some traditional practices.
